Spend 5 days in Kenya (Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara) and 8 days in Tanzania (Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro, Manyara and Zanzibar). This tour transfers from Masai Mara to Serengeti through the Isebania border. If you’d like, at the end of the tour, instead of finishing in Arusha, you can transfer to Amboseli for 1 or 2 nights in this national park and finish the tour back in Nairobi. This tour can also be done in the opposite order (starting in Arusha).

Day 1:
Nairobi- Lake Nakuru National Park

You’ll have an early morning pick up then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, across the equator, southwards of Bogoria, lies the Rift Valley’s most famous Lake Nakuru. It’s known all over the world for its flamingoes. It’s alkaline and is recognized as being one of the Natural Wonders of the World. Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harboring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos. But the flamingos, of course, have always been the main attraction. At times there may be almost 2 million flamingos in the residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lakeshore.
You will arrive in time for lunch then have an afternoon game drive.

Day 2:
Nakuru National Park- Masai Mara National Reserve

You’ll have an early morning drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. It holds on as one of the few places left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in the numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of wildebeest, zebras and attendant predators. You will arrive in time for lunch and then have an afternoon game drive. Meal plan breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3:
Explore Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, we’ll have a full-day game drive, with packed lunch provided. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions, as well as its abundant resident wildlife. Its one of the few places where it’s possible to see the Big Five during a morning game drive. Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one’s vehicle and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these 16 species of eagle, many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 of bustard (including the kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds. Day 4:
Explore Masai Mara National Reserve

Unlimited game drives extravaganza!
Today after a lovely breakfast, our breathtaking Masai Mara Reserve Kenya tour continues. We take a 4 x 4 Jeep to experience Mara River which offers a panoramic view of diverse plains game such as hyena, jackal, wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, and cheetah. Look for the Big 5 (Lions, African Elephants, Rhinoceros, Cape buffalo, and Leopards), followed by a visit to the Mara Triangle – the southwestern part of the Maasai Mara National Reserve and enjoy sweeping wildlife and bird views.

In the evening, we experience an optional Maasai village tour at USD 20 per person, where you can get acquainted with the authentic culture and traditions of the hospitable native tribes. This fascinating journey is followed by free time to go souvenir shopping in the Maasai villages for traditional crafts, unique artwork, and upscale clothing items. A balloon safari at USD 460 USD per person(optional) can be organised early morning on this day then proceed with the normal program. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 5:
Masai Mara National Reserve- Serengeti National Park

On this day, you will be transferring from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park (through Isebania border). This transfer takes almost the whole day but during a great part of the journey (in the morning in Masai Mara and in the afternoon in the Serengeti), you will be doing game drive as well.
You’ll enjoy the afternoon game drive en-route to your tented camp.

Day 6:
Full Day in Serengeti National Park

The famous Serengeti National Park is home to the great migration. The game drive is spectacular as you drive up the crater highlands, stopping at the rim. Continuing on, spreading out is the vast Serengeti. Serengeti means “endless plains” in Kiswahili. This 6,900 sq mile (18,000 sq km) park is inhabited by more than 2 million large animals including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, Thomson’s gazelles, large predators including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax or monkeys also inhabit the area along with nearly 500 species of birds. On the second day, after breakfast, you’ll have a full day in Serengeti National Park (morning and afternoon game drives). Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch ,Dinner. Overnight Stay Options :

Day 7:
Serengeti National Park- Ngorongoro Conservation Area

You’ll have an early morning safari before breakfast to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sunrise in front of you. After the game drive, return to the camp for brunch, followed by a transfer to Ngorongoro. With walls 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq miles, the crater is a virtual Noah’s Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusks, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses.

There is the possibility for an afternoon walking safari in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Accommodation can be upgraded to higher-level options (at extra costs) or downgraded to more economic ones (price reduction). Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch ,Dinner. Overnight Stay Options :

Day 8:
Ngorongoro Crater- Lake Manyara

Pick up at 8:30 AM from your hotel in Ngorongoro and depart for Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. As you enter the national park, lush forests of Acacia and Mahogany trees begin to set the mood for what is waiting ahead. The game drive will go on till evening with a small break for picnic lunch. During the game, drive watch out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and the blue monkeys. Another spectacle of Lake Manyara National park is the tree-climbing lions, however, spotting them is a game of luck. In the right season, you can see the shoreline turning pink with millions of flamingos flocking there. Post the game drive, you will head back to your camp/lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you. Day 9:
Lake Manyara National Park to Zanzibar

You’ll depart after breakfast and drive across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. This enchanting park is noted for its beauty and incredibly lush acacia forest of giant figs and mahogany trees, which are home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. It is very famous for its stunning bird variety. The park is also home to a large numbers of buffalos, giraffes, elephants, impalas and a Hippo lake, where large numbers of hippos usually gather. This park has become famous for the tree-climbing lions and the flamingos on the lakeshore. The game drives are done along the shore of the lake, providing incredible views of animals in the foreground with the lake, flamingos and flat plains on the horizon. In the afternoon, you will have a flight to Zanzibar at around 4 pm for three days of relaxation. Overnight Stay Options :

Day 10:
A Full Day tour to Spice Farm, Stone Town & Prison Island

This day you will start by visiting Tropical Spice Farm which offers fun and adventure in an award-winning lush, tropical farm setting and be enthralled by more than 500 tropical medicinal plants and spices. Follow a guide through rural plantations and see where local staples such as clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon are cultivated, grown and used to produce some of Zanzibar’s most aromatic cuisine.

Later have a stop at Stone Town. Combine Modern Culture and Ancient History on a 03-hour tour of Stone Town by air-conditioned minivan that includes pickup and drop-off at your Beach Hotel. Visit Darajani Market, an Old Dispensary neighborhood, and Anglican Cathedral, a maze-like old city that’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From the Stone Town, board a motorized boat for Prison Island, a picture-perfect tropical island with a tragic legacy of slave internment, prisons, and cholera. Take in white sandy beaches and a forest that’s filled with wildlife, and spot the slow-moving giant tortoises that roam the island. Finish the tour with return transfer to your hotel, arriving by early evening. Overnight Stay Options :

Day 13:
Mnemba Island Half Day Trip

This is one of our most recommended activities in Zanzibar, where you can swim and snorkel at three different spots (Dolphins, relaxing at the Sandbanks, and Snorkeling at the Mnemba reef. Mnemba Island was ranked No.1 Best Beach Destination in Africa by trip savvy. For the sake of precision, Mnemba is a reef and not an Atoll, as sometimes called Mnemba Atoll in many publications and charts.

Mnemba is well known for the excellent clarity of its waters (for this area of the Indian Ocean) and the unusually prolific and diverse corals and tropical marine life where you can able to spot different species of fish while Snorkeling. Some of the species that you can see at Mnemba reef include; Angel Fish, Blue Spotted Rays, Black Snappers, Groupers, Red Tooth Triggers, Flounder, Octopuses, Leaf Fish, Scorpion Fish, Stone Fish, Frog Fish, and lots of Trevallies. Mnemba Island is one of the best spots in Africa for underwater adventures. Mnemba Atoll – Located North East Coast of the Zanzibar Island. Tourists flock here to combine relaxation with scuba diving or snorkeling at the incredibly colorful and diverse reefs that surround the island. This atoll features an easy dive down to about 20 meters and quite a bit of coral, you can also spot dolphins and sea turtles due to the deeper water in the area.
