Experience Kenya's Majesty
This is a budget group joining adventure to Masai Mara for two nights, one night in Lake Nakuru and concluding with two nights in Amboseli. See the Big Five, big cats in the famous Masai Mara. Flamingoes and rhinos in Lake Nakuru and large herds of elephants in Amboseli National Park. You own a window seat and ample space on the rooftop of the 4×4 Landcruiser during game drives.
Day 1:
Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be picked up at your hotel at 7:00 am and driven to the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley. From here you will descend the escarpment and make your way to the Masai Mara via Narok town. On arrival, eat lunch at the camp and then proceed on an afternoon game drive in the park. The Mara is famous for its black-maned lions and the yearly migration of wildebeest into the park from the Serengeti. Later, you will make your way to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay at Loyk Mara Camp.
Day 2:
Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, we have a full day game drive with packed lunch provided. The reserve is well known for its black-manned lion as well as its abundant resident wildlife and its one of the few places where it’s possible to see the big five during a morning’s game drive. Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one’s vehicle and several even climb onto the roof to get better view of prospective prey.
For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these 16 species of eagle, plus many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 of bustard (including the Kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds. Overnight at Loyk Mara Camp.
Day 3:
Masai Mara National Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park
Early morning breakfast at the camp, with optional Masai village visit. Then depart to Lake Nakuru National Park, with picnic lunch on the way. Arriving in Lake Nakuru later the evening. Overnight stay in Sarova woodlands .
Day 4:
Lake Nakuru National Park - Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will go on an extensive morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, which is known for its many unique animals. Millions of flamingos and other water birds line the lake. Later, you will leave Lake Nakuru and then proceed to Amboseli National Park, eating lunch en route. Dinner at your overnight stay will be at the camp in Kibo Safari Lodge.
Day 5:
Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will spend the full day in Amboseli National Park enjoying the best this area has to offer. You will have the opportunity to view Mt. Kilimanjaro and go on an optional tour of a Maasai village to learn about their traditional way of life. Meals and your overnight stay will be at the camp at Kibo Safari Camp.
Day 6:
Amboseli National Park - Nairobi
After breakfast, you will leave the camp for one last game drive in the park before you depart for Nairobi. A picnic lunch will be served en route. This will conclude your tour.
